 | Comments: |
Very quiet trails today considering the amount of cars parked. Wet and muddy in all the usual spots, rocks at water crossings were also slick. Switchbacks on Carter Dome Trail make for an enjoyable climb. Final push up to Dome seems longer than 1.2. Had both peaks solo for a bit, Hight was a surprise, usually many here. Black flies were a PIA, no breeze to keep them away. Saw no one on the way out until after the last water crossings were, very unusual. Warm day no humidity, hazy views. |
