Fun 7.5 mile loop hike to avoid crowds… started up Tuckerman ravine early to hermit shelter…. From there I took the steep boott spur link up to boott spur trail. Saw no one on boott spur link…. Fun trail. Saw a few on boott spur trail. I was the only one on boott spur summit. Took a break there then headed down Davis path to Glen Boulder trail. Shortly after being on Glen boulder trail I met a group that said they just saw a bear…. I looked around on my way to Gulf peak but I never saw it. Very cool alpine hiking over to Gulf peak… Glen boulder always amazes me it doesn’t eventually fall, very cool glacial erratic. The Direttissima brings you back to the Pinkham notch visitor center parking. Great day… morning started off with blue skies but high clouds moved in through the day making everything looking gray, but visibility was still great. |
