Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I was very fortunate to get dropped off along West Side Rd! Parking at Diana's Bath is a whole ordeal.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Wade across Lucy Brook in the first mile. Stream beds along Attitash Trail were mostly dry
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in very good condition. Easy to get through a single blowdown east of Big Attitash.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Scarce water sources for a most of the hike. Great footing throughout. The steep ascent out of Lucy Brook would have been troublesome for my older pup, but she stayed off trail due to the heat.
Bugs
Bugs: No mosquitos. No deer flies. Lots of gnats, especially in moist areas, but they weren't biting.

Comments
Comments: West-bound traverse from Diana's Bath to Bear Notch Rd. Hot & humid conditions. Encountered no other hikers after Diana's Bath. Rather steep climb up the headwall of Lucy Book onto the shoulder of Big Attitash. Mossy spots west of Big Attitash summit weren't an issue. Generally great footing until loose gravel on west of Table Mountain vistas. No significant water sources/ crossing from intersection of Moat Mountain Trail and Louisville Brook. Cascades along Louisville Brook were beautiful. Great views across of Sandwich Range & Swift River Valley.
