Comments
Comments: Linked up Flume and Liberty to Franconia Ridge for a 15-miler. Great weather, great views, and the trail is in great shape aside from a few muddy spots that are easy to get through. The flume slide is tough, but a really fun time. Some spots on the slide were just a bit slippery.
This route is a great way to experience Franconia Ridge if you want a hike that is a bit more challenging than the standard route up Falling Waters. The Flume Slide trail and both Flume and Liberty are less crowded than Franconia Ridge/Lincoln and Lafayette, so you can still get some solitude.
