Comments: Plenty of stepovers on DRT, but only a few where you really have to break stride. At the start of the first re-location shortly beyond the wilderness sign there is a herd path forming around where a key stepping boulder has rolled out of position. It's steep with nothing preventing erosion. The wash out at ~3.3 miles from 302 is as bad as advertised and worse every year. Going in I took the high route, going out I cut down to the river and rock hopped around it. It's really sketchy. Long term I think the only plausible re-route involves dropping down to the river and then back up the brook on the other side.

Every other trail in good shape except for Mt Eisenhower Trail. This trail has lots of fresh blowdowns and could use some brushing near the top. It's not terrible, but there were more tough obstacles here than any other trail I visited on this trip.

All signs in place.

Did not see the usual cairns marking the Mt Clinton Trail crossing by the Dry River.

Posting to report trail maintenance conditions on Mt Eisenhower Trail. It's usually the best of the bunch in the PDRW, but this week was the worst. Also posting to re-iterate the issues with the major washout. It's legitimately scary and I'm not afraid of heights at all. Unstable rocks of all sizes, sand, and blowdowns. Hard to overstate the danger here. Besides that the DRT is still a tough trail, a bit of a sufferfest, but rewarding if you make it to the falls ~6 miles in or up to tree line.

Overall great hike though with lots of people out for a beautiful holiday weekend!
