Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The standard access to this peak has always been Indian Stream Road. This road has been closed at mile marker 8 for a year. We used plan B. Drove up Day Rd/Perry Stream Road for about 9 miles. This road was in great shape. Any vehicle would have no problem. Parked where GAIA shows a trail across Perry Stream over to Falkenham Trail (a grassy road).

Water Crossing Notes

Comments
Comments: We parked at a large pull off on the banks of Perry Stream. There’s no bridge over the stream here but we easily rock hopped it. The trail was visible on the other side. After we crossed, we immediately encountered the worst part of the route. This short trail is full of wet bogs from beaver activity and blow downs. We slowly made our way to the grassy Falkenham Trail. The closer we got, the better it was. From here the rest of the route was relatively easy and straightforward with the exception of many wet areas. We went left (south) on this trail /grassy road for about .4 miles before cutting into the friendly woods. We mostly followed high grass roads on a general straight line to the peak. Easily found the high mounted jar and logged in. We returned the same way (our dog leads us back - spot on). Until Indian Steam Road opens back up, this may be the best option. 3.3 miles RT. 700+ elevation gain.
