Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: 7am there were a half dozen cars in the parking lot with plenty of room for more cars.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All the water crossings were tame and easily traversed.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Most of the blowdowns have been removed. There's one blowdown left on the ledgy slide but plenty of room to pass around it. There's also one massive blowdown about 200' from the junction of SBT and Mt Tripyramid Trail that'll take a concerted effort to remove. In the meantime there's a herd path around it.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No pups on trail but it's a dog friendly trail with lots of water to cool off in.
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitoes down low and active. Black flies in the middle section of the mountain. But not too bad and I didn't use bug dope or a head net. I was tempted a few times but tolerable.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing lost or found.

Comments
Comments: The trail was in great condition! Minimal mud and water on trail. Water crossings were tame but plentiful enough to cool off in and create cool microclimates near the streams. And plenty of water to filter and hydrate without carrying multiple liters of water. And it's a pretty trail with good footing for the first 4 miles. Yes there's a half mile of steep and rocky gnarly upper section but otherwise it's a dream IMHO!
