Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Rock hops, water levels not a problem, including Little River
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in great shape, a few mud pits and standing water here and there on North Twin Spur, most had well-placed rocks. We felt like a cairn or blazes would be useful in the ledgy spot beyond South Twin summit to connect to North Twin Spur. Vis was bad from a storm and low clouds so we could have missed them. Some evidence of others getting confused in this spot and going around ledges and bushwhacking through scrub to pick up trail. Seems peeps are bypassing North knob and ledgy shoulder, we contoured around it, and backtracked when we saw bushwhack/off trail damage.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few on various trails, all friendly and happy to be out. Most streams had some water for them, but bring some just in case.
Bugs
Bugs: Not really much of a problem, scattered skeeters and no see-ums, but we didn't need to bust out the bug spray.

Comments
Comments: Two day adventure, Galehead on the 16th, overnight at Galehead Hut, and Twins today, 7/17. Trails in good shape, no issues other than some muds pits on North Twin Spur, but otherwise all good. Wet rocks after rains today on the Twins, but ok. Thanks to the Galehead Hut croo for good eats and hospitality. Lots of friendly peeps at hut A few NOBO hikers stopping in at hut, most people were day or hut-to-hut hikers.

Most flowers have gone by, bunchberry still flowering. Saw the blue bead lily fruits, blue already coming up Galehead. Lots of slugs, and some chatty boreal chickadees.
