Nothing really exceptional to report. Trails mostly dry, blowdown all cut, fantastic day, but since they were already parking on the road at 7:30 AM where did all the people go. Probably saw 30 today which seems light for an Outstanding Weather Saturday. Enough to make it fun to stop and chat. With the low dew point the views were sharp. Sat on the ledge before Middle Carter summit and ate lunch with the Presidential Range spread out before me. Really nice panorama today. Made it worth suffering through Imp Trail again with miles of rocks to twist your ankles on. Very few flat sections.
The treat of the day was the fabulous weather. Hiking shirt got damp but not dripping wet like this past week.
