Just to add to BikeHikeSkiFish's report, I went south past Little Haystack on Franconia Ridge Trail with thoughts of pushing on to Liberty & Flume, went about 1/4 mi. before deciding it was too deep, drifted, and obscured to do in my time frame, turned back at the steep scrambles. faint tracks fade in and out, if you go, have time, water, and be struggle-ready. Nice to hike the ridge with Tim L., spectacular day. |
