Parking/Access Road Notes: Were there on a Tuesday and basically no other cars in the parking lot.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water was low at all crossings and did not present any problems to cross.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail is actual pretty good shape. There is one switchback corner that has been significantly washed out. Several blowdowns had to be crossed but could easily be stepped over. It could benefit from more trail marks but the trail is defined well enough to easily follow.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Did not pass any dogs.
Bugs
Bugs: Some black flies, some mosquitoes but never had to apply bug spray. Bugs not a problem.

Comments
Comments: The climb needs a steady methodical pace especially up it in switchback section. Temperatures at the start were about 50 so it felt like fall. You don’t really get a sense of the steepness until you are on the down climb. Then it is like wow sooo steep. Overall a sporty climb and liked it very much.
