Dogz! Suddenly the same dog is right behind me with an angry/scary bark that scared the crap outta me! There was literally NO dog behind me at all for 10 minutes...but who letz the dogz out, eh?! A few minutes later, the same thing, out of nowhere it starts barking aggressively at me from behind, with its shoulder fur on end! Now I'm like what the heck - why is Cujo behind me???? I yell nicely to go away.... happened again.... yelled again.... then it stopped after 2 minutes, I look around, and no dog anywhere as far down the trail as I can see on the straightaway - just so weird!!!!Terrific day! Mission was to paddle East Pond on a nice day. I had already paddled Little East Pond so it was time to return. Went up to height of land on the East Pond Trail for some additional vert. When I was descending, I jumped on the herd path the goes around East Pond, weaving in and out amongst the fir trees - then cut into the beach area at the north end. Someone left a couple fishheads there - c'mon people!!!! GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS (times a bazillion). Anywho, inflated the packraft on the beach and bobbled around the pond for a good hour observing rather large leaches swimming by and fish jumping randomly. |
