 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Crawford Path is in good condition. One large tree across the trail. Everyone is stepping over this tree just off trail.
Some bog bridges on the Webster Cliff Trail near Pierce SW peak are in poor condition. A couple of trees leaning in to the Webster Cliff Trail that aren't hard to get by.
Many of the bog bridges on the Mizpah Cut-Off are near the end of their life. The narrow logs bend when stepped upon. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Fine for dogs. |
|
 | Bugs: |
A few flying around but not bothersome. The wasps/hornets on the summit are no longer around. |

 | Comments: |
All surfaces in the forested stretches of trail were wet from the overnight rain. The open ridges were dry. Some mud and puddles that presented no problems.
The Mt Eisenhower summit cairn no longer exists. Perhaps it was dismantled because of the wasp problem.
The bog bridges on the Crawford Path are in good condition. The small ladders on the Eisenhower Loop Trail are worn but are still solid.
Saw many Boott Rattlesnake-Root, Northern Meadowsweet, Mountain Sandwort, and Goldenrod.
As I arrived at the tree line, the morning clouds dissipated revealing great views from all open areas.
Gibbs Falls has a low flow but is still worth the short distance off the Crawford Path.
Many hikers out from 6 years old to 75 years old. Also, some AT thru hikers. A family was playing in Gibbs Brook at the bridge on the Crawford Connector. |
