Did the loop counterclockwise- first 10 minutes or so in the rain. By the time I got to the first slabs on Dickey about 15 min after the rain had ended they had already dried sufficiently where slipping was a minimal concern. Trails around the entire loop are in good condition. Minimal to no mud, everything is pretty dry. Maybe it was due to the rain but almost no bugs too. Beautiful evening and nearly empty on the trail. Every time I do this hike I think to myself I need to do this hike more- really for the level of effort and the views you get it's hard to beat. |
