Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Mt. Langdon trailhead parking lot holds 3 cars, with room for 2-3 more on the side of the road, and a few more in a lot across the street. I would not recommend parking across the street as the lot is gravel that has been significantly eroded and has left large pot holes. Langdon trailhead parking lot was full at 9:20am, but almost empty by 5:45pm. Davis Path lot is paved and in good condition. Lot was about half to two thirds full at 9:10am and was about one third full by 5:30pm.

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Super easy to rock hop
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Too many downed trees to count. Most of them were not too obstructing, but a few were difficult to navigate around. A few sections of Mt. Parker trail and Davis Path were overgrown and narrow, but no particularly bad route-finding issues.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Mostly scarce with the exception of Davis Path trailhead and first quarter mile where we got swarmed by mosquitoes.

Comments
Comments: The end of Cave Mountain trail is very steep and slippery, climbing up loose gravel and old leaves - so use caution descending this trail. Davis Path to Mt. Crawford and Mt. Langdon trails are in great condition, though the climb up or down Mt. Crawford is very steep. Beyond Mt. Parker, particularly between Mts. Parker and Resolution, the trail is very narrow and overgrown in places. This is also where we encountered our only wet patch of the day, but it was easy to avoid. Be careful not to go by the view spur to the south knob on Mt. Resolution as it is also overgrown and easy to miss when walking by, but has fantastic views. Descending Resolution to Davis Path is quite steep as well.
