 | Bugs: |
Pretty bad…maybe I’m mistaken but I really thought black flies were a late spring and early summer bug. But between them and the mosquitoes nearly the entire way even going fast it was pretty miserable. It’s also interesting because this is a stark contrast to the other hikes I’ve been on recently which had very few bugs. |

Nice evening on Red Hill- went up Red Hill trail and looped down cabin trail. As mentioned above really buggy which was annoying. Trails were all very dry and in good shape though. Very smoky views from the fire tower, could only see winnipesaukee and the ossipees partially and not much past squam. If it were up to me I’d take smarts off the 52 WAV list and replace it with Red Hill. |
