What a beautiful day! Cool start this morning.. it was probably 50° when I summitted Madison a little after 7. Things warmed up quickly with the sun, but no humidity and the views were nice and clear, only a very little haze in the distance.
I went up Valley way, snagged Madison, went up and over Adams, out to Jeffy, then made my way down Randolph path back to my car. I cut across Perch Path to scope out the camp for a potential future overnight.
Lots of folks were out today, many doing the full traverse. If you're a hiker and didn't go out today with this forecast, you really missed out! It was the kind of day you get above treeline and stay there as long as you can!
My feet took a pounding (along with my legs) over all the boulders, but it was worth every second. 14.1 miles, 6150 of elevation.
pictures and videos will be up on my insta, @woodmanworldwide |
