 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Coarser Brook to 4 mile Brook in decent shape until 2 miles from the pond trail to Tucker where I parked rather than risk scratching paint to avoid the twisted exposed culverts. I stayed in 4wd for the loose rocky hills. I’d want mid clearance for a few of the culverts along the way, I forget where exactly. The last few I could’ve made in my truck but didn’t want to risk it. It was a convenient spot to hike the Crystals from too. |

West Tucker. The pond road shown on Gaia was easy to miss, I ran by it jogging the road. There is a bad sunken culvert right after it, but you could drive a truck right until this road. I pushed through tall grass and weeds and trees, but it’s a very straightforward hike to the pond following moose paths. First sign in this year at the canister. I should’ve followed my tracks back to the pond but instead took a terribly steep and thick descent line back to the old road which saved a small bit of distance, but was treacherous. A nice jog back into the sunset (the sun was right in my eyes actually which was dangerous on one thick section of the pond road.) |
