Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No significant water crossings except the Pemigewassett River that is spanned by a bridge.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The Hi-Cannon trail sign is missing at the Kinsman Ridge - Hi-Cannon trail junction. The Kinsman Ridge sign is in place at this junction. Tree branches across the Lonesome Lake trail down low. Easy to get by. A number of trees across the Kinsman Ridge Trail that are easy to get by. The most difficult is a group of trees that toppled when a small patch of soil slid downhill exposing the bedrock. Some log stairs have failed on the Kinsman Ridge Trail on the south side of NE Cannonball. Does not present a problem. A short section of the Kinsman Ridge Trail on the south slope of NE Cannonball will require trimming. Some of the bog bridges on the Kinsman Ridge Trail have seen their best days. One wood step on the Fishin' Jimmy ledges has been missing for years. The wood ladder on Hi-Cannon is still solid with some wear.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Fine for dogs that are comfortable with ledges. There is currently very little water on the ridge.
Bugs
Bugs: None except dragonflies at Kinsman Pond and Lonesome Lake.

Comments
Comments: All surfaces were dry. This made for excellent footing especially on the rugged surface on the Kinsman Ridge Trail between the junction with Lonesome Lake Trail and Hi-Cannon Trail. In this rough stretch there are some alternative trails that can be confusing.
Lots of up and downs on the ridge. I saw no other hikers on the Kinsman Ridge Trail from just north of the junction with the Lonesome Lake Trail to the north slope of North Kinsman.
Good views from many spots on the Kinsman Ridge Trail and at the summits.
The water levels in the ponds are low with lots of lily pads or grass.
