Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Four happy pups at Guyot tentsite including the biggest, whitest, poofiest Great Pyrenees I have ever seen. I thought it was a polar bear at first glance :O
Bugs
Bugs: Only bug was a hornet that stung my ankle about ten minutes above Zealand Hut. Didn’t hang around to see if there was a nest or hornet friends nearby. Grateful it let the kids pass before it struck-forgot how annoying those stings are for the rest of the day!!!

Comments
Comments: Had a great stay Tuesday night at Zealand Hut. It was a full house and we chatted with many friendly hikers including the long-time Osceola Trail adopters-thank you gentlemen! Was an interesting experience listening to all the bodily noises all night-also shocked how many people don’t utilize the red light option on their headlamps in a shared space!!! Had an easy hike up to Zeacliff which we had to ourselves. Started sprinkling for twenty minutes on final Zealand ascent-thankfully it stopped quickly and was never heavy! Got to Guyot at noon and grabbed the overwhelmingly best platform with open easterly views. Just as set up tent it rained more significantly for a short time so the kids had wrestlemania in the tent while I “slept”. Hit West Bond at 6pm. Was way too windy and we were way too tired to hang out until sunset. We had a nice dinner partially shielded by the large boulder facing Bondcliff. Saw a beautiful rainbow over Vose Spur. Need some rain it currently smells like a porta-potty on summit-disgusting. Great day two of three day Z- Bonds with my littles:)
