Comments
Comments: Up Sabbaday, down Pine - we would probably do it the opposite way next time. Thankful for the dry conditions, although dry erosion is active in some places on Pine Bend. We managed to do pretty well with footing. We didn’t see anyone until we reached the ridge, then a surprising trickle of people. Big thanks to the soul who cleared all of the blowdowns from the top portion of Sabbaday, makes the steep ledge section easier! Someone has also recently (today even?) cleared the big blowdowns on Pine Bend a little over a mile from the road, thank you! After a hiatus from the 4k peaks, it is sad to see how beat up the trails are between heavier foot traffic and lack of care (creep).
