Comments
Comments: A perfect day for this hike. I saw one fighter jet pass by Zeacliff, then it was quiet all day for this 7 hour, 17 mile hike. I jogged for much of the flat railroad grades. The bushwhack took me 3 hours for the 3.8 miles. I started due west of Twintop, made it up pretty quick. I climbed trees on top for the only views, if you climb 20 feet up the right tree they are good. Lots of moose sign, but not too fresh. The woods were ok for the most part if you can duck and weave, but I did get a bunch of good scratches. It got a lot tougher descending to the north, I had to push through a mile of thick spruce to get back to the trail, but it was the soft young bushy kind here instead of dead pokey branches. I tried to stay high on the ridge but I ended up a bit down to the west of it, but finally came out near the falls.
