Opted for the traditional way knowing the river levels were low. Really fast conditions until LBT. Rocks here were slippery with mud & water in most of the usual spots. After a snack break at the base of the slide up I went. Might be me but the slide has really grown in IMO. Rocks were slippery wet in spots but nothing too bad. Once above that it was clear sailing to the top. Only 2 others here, rested & ate enjoying a cool breeze. Once down just a long trek back, stopping to refill water & enjoy the river for a but. Black Pond was quiet & beautiful. Fast back to lot without as many folks on LWT as usual. |
