Comments
Comments: Was originally doing this to get the section between Tremont and Owl's Cliff (rained the day we came from Brunel Trail). We first did this may years ago, interesting to revisit. The "easy part" seemed different- I was wondering if some of it had been rerouted.

After the nearly bone dry water crossing, it was a constant steep climb. At first, it seemed easier than the first time, even though it was steep. But about halfway up, I hit the wall. Took forever. Too late for the .8 mile to Owl's Cliff. But the views were great and the weather excellent. Got back down almost in book time. Prema was a little ahead. She was near where the climb starts when she saw a bear about 50-100 feet away. When he looked at her, she told him to stay away. When he bounded off, she regretted not getting a photo.

No signs of aggression, just curiosity.
