All cruiser this time around. Thoreau falls is real low |

Only one non-wilderness compliant blowdown along Thoreau Falls, otherwise great shape. There's a pretty sizeable washout about 1/3 of the way through, still plenty manageable. |

Mostly writing for Thoreau and Zeacliff since the rest are pretty straight forward. Thoreau was a joy, only slow down was the wash out. Zeacliff was certainly something with the full pack, but a great challenge over plain steep and then throw-yourself-up-a-ledge steep. I wouldn't have wanted to descend it! Or do it in wet conditions.
Guyot water source is a "robust trickle" according to caretaker. We filled up before leaving the notch anticipating such, as there was a long line to filter water in the pm and am. No more water until 3ish miles from the summit of Bondcliff so plan ahead! |
