 | Comments: |
Sawyer River trail was a three mile breeze, dry and a nice quick walk to the junction with Hancock Notch Trail. Hancock notch is in good shape with very few, if any, step overs. Halfway through the blazing is a bit sparse, but there is enough evidence lf foot traffic to attract attention. Crossing the Sawyer River at the big river blowout wasn’t bad, we could see across where the trail is above the bank. This could be a tough crossing in normal water levels or higher. Cedar Brook Trail had a number of stupid step overs, that got old fast. Eastside trail was another quick three mile walk, it’s evident where the river has washed the road, and it was wild to see how wide the river has gotten. |
