Parked in front of the garage with three red doors on US 2 between the Mt. Jefferson View Motel and Bowman Inn. Trailhead is immediately to the right of the garage. |

A few duckunders, but otherwise no issues. |

Trail is no longer in the WMG (was in for just the 30th edition), but is still maintained. Damp in places from last night's rain, but no significant mud.
First and last portions are foot paths, while the middle portion is a grassy woods road. Very gradual. Relatively easy to follow with orange blazes and RMC arrow signs at junctions.
Group of local miners at the mine, who were able to park at the end of the access road.
