Comments
Comments: Had a great hike on my 30th birthday. Views were socked in, but I did get to see Wildcat over Carter Lake surrounded with beautiful foliage before the fog really rolled in heavy. Rocks weren’t too slippery the first half of the day (and good thing because that climb from the hut to Carter Dome was relentless) but by the time I summited Middle Carter the fog was more of a light rain and the rocks were getting hard to navigate. I saw 5 people descending from the hut on my way up, and 2 people along the ridge line. All in all a great adventure and so glad I was able to do this while there was a brief break in some much needed rain!
