Comments
Comments: Beaver Brook trail is extremely slippery. Despite being on terrifying 25, it is not too steep, but it is so slippery that a fall could be quite dangerous as it is hard to stop yourself and there are limited handholds. Once you climb out of the ravine, it becomes a very scenic boreal trail that climbs at easy to sometimes moderate grades to Moosilauke. I did a couple of side spurs to Mts. Jim and Blue - neither of these are spectacular peaks. Carriage Road provides a very gradual descent, but if you want to climb a bit more, the upper sections of Glencliff, just before the jct. with Carriage Road, have some steeper portions. Tunnel Brook is very easy though rarely used, didn't see anyone across the entire 6.5mi trail.
