Trail Maintenance Notes: Evergreen and birch branches have been recently trimmed on the Jewell Trail especially in the blowdown area about 2 miles from the trailhead. Trails in good condition. Good signage. The sign at the junction of the Jewell Trail and the Boundary Line Trail is propped up against at tree. It is still informative.

Comments
Comments: No mud or puddles on any of the trails. The leaves on the trail were not slippery.
The footing is good on all these trails. Even the rocks above the tree line were not difficult.
Great visibility today.
Lots of hikers on the trails. Two AT flip hikers from MD heading southbound to MA. Many Presidential traverse hikers including a large group from SC. Met one hiker from Austria and three others from Canada. Met a hiker from Groton MA who was 90% complete on his third grid. Talked with Trevor from Lewiston (red liner) who was wearing a terror costume for his climb up the Caps Ridge Trail.
Plenty of fall leaf color although it appears a bit muted than normal due to the drought.
