Grabbed a parking spot just before main lot. Easy road walk to trail, then flat to water crossing. I opted to go left on the old trail for something different & to get ahead of a couple of groups in front of me. Not shorter but really still in great shape. Then the relentless climbing starts, good time to 1st view, passed many folks. Struggle bus to the ridge, then hazy but beautiful views in the warm sun. Only 1 other on top, didn’t last long. Spent maybe 45 minutes then time to go. Saw 2 48 finishers on top & 7 more heading up. Great place to finish. Pretty straight forward down. Downhill to lot made for quick back to car. |
