Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Bridged or stepovers....but dry today.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in good shape, leaves falling and filling water bars, but it is that time of year....and there is no rain/runoff anyway. Orange blazes on Percy Peaks Trail and North Percy Tr look very fresh. Several spots of obvious erosion.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sure, bring water for them though. Saw two pups today.
Bugs
Bugs: A couple dragonflies, tiny bees and little gnat things on North Percy summit.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day, fall foliage gorgeous, maybe slightly past peak, but not lacking in color, ground cover also vibrant on to of North.

Very surprised to be first car in lot at 9am. Had the summits of both peaks to ourselves...odd for such a nice day. Saw a couple people coming up as we headed down.

Erosion more obvious on all trails than when I last hiked this in 2022, and sadly some areas of trampled summit vegetation.

Some maple/ash/birch leaves down on trail, not overly slippery yet, so I didn't check that box.

Temps in the low 80s in early October. Some haze today, not sure if it was forest fire haze or not.
