Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Comfortably drove all the way to the gate around 1850ft on Graham Brook Rd. There was even some heavy machinery at the landing at the gate, which may explain why the road is in relatively good shape.

Comments: We followed the road past the gate until the junction with the Malvina Trail. The road was in lovely shape, Malvina is starting to get overgrown. Followed Malvina to the HOL, then headed into the woods, in annoyingly dense woods with short PUDs. Found the high point and headed back to Malvina, aiming just north of the bend in the trail, which provided a little better woods.

Followed Malvina back to the road then followed the road around, towards Abbott. At the Abbott landing, we fought through some brush to cross Graham Brook and head up. The ascent here was steep, with wet footing and just never open woods - always some hobblebush or something to fight through. There was occasional orange tape, seemingly marking a path towards the summit, but not consistent enough to actually be useful. Had to do a tour of the summit contour to find the jar, but we found it.

Descending, I took a line a bit west of ascent, aiming to cross Graham Brook just below 1900 and pop out just west of the landing. This worked much better than the ascent route and we were back at the landing in no time (ok... 15 mins). Rather than follow the road all the way around, we whacked across the drainage, which was easy and popped us out on an overgrown woods road that parallels the primary road, but was able to follow this old road right back to the gate.

Took 1:50. 30 mins up to No Name, 50 mins over to Abbott. 30 mins from Abbott back to the car.
