Quick hike to Success Hill. Success Pond Road from Berlin has become quite rough lately but still no issue in my common sedan 15 mph.Mary Grande Road and logging road was actually a bit better. Took skid paths North to just below summit and encountered pretty much a full circle of blowdowns around summit. Canister and register in fine shape with plenty of room left in it. I dropped slightly east of the highpoint when heading back as this was an opening from blowdowns. Started pouring just as I arrived back at the car. Took a left out of MG and continued on North Pond road to Rt 26 and found road in much better shape than coming in from Berlin. Mountain Fountain is running strong |
