Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I drove to the end of Roaring Brook Rd off 26 and I turned around at the “end of atv route” sign before the house at the end, and parked roadside. The owner was in her garden at the end of my hike and I got to chat with her, very nice lady. She does not own the garage, but said better to park on her grass or roadside than across by the garage. I forgot to ask about winter parking. The land is not posted where I went but she said it’s an easier hike to walk the dirt drive just before hers and it gets you further up the hill.

Comments
Comments: I made a loop of these 3 peaks. The woods and grades were very mellow up to NW peak. The summit seemed obvious and Cal-topo is usually spot on, but no jar could be found and I had enough of circling around so I moved on. Thicker young spruce with moose paths pushed me downhill toward the West peak rather than contouring around, the elevation loss wasn’t huge anyway. The jar was easy to find on West peak, but the last sign-in was over 2 years ago and there weren’t
many since 2015. I headed west off the summit in nice glades with some leafless hobblebush, to Kelsey Notch trail, which is actually a wide road (like the wind farm roads, but recently resurfaced). Then I turned onto the well signed corridor 5 which goes close by Bungy Peak. I walked up through a beautiful field with views and some unknown grassy roads that led to the summit area. The actual summit was a mess of prickers and blowdowns and even barbed wire. I spooked a moose. I circled around the CalTopo dot on the flattish summit but no jar could be found, (does it need one really?) then made a bee line down to my truck on Roaring Brook Rd, crossing a few more woods roads along the way and Corridor 5 again. These woods were rather ugly with deadfall to step around but I saw some deer and made good time, about 30 minutes from the summit down to Roaring Brook rd. It was about 3.5 hours for the loop of the 3 peaks.
