Problem we had right off the bat was over dressing. The conditions at the bottom and when you get higher were radically different. We shed layers and then added them back in when we hit the first ridge. Lots of water in Rocky Branch trail. Cut over to Rocky Branch trail to avoid the double cross of Rocky Branch was wet but not bad. Same with trail to beginning of Iso express. Muffed part of the bushwhack over. Iso is a formidable peak if you try to come up below the spur. Wind on Iso was scary, a little ice but nothing to bad. Coming back started from traditional bushwhack start and had no issues following the track and coming back to our earlier tracks. If the tracks are still visible take the right track and not the left. Coming back met three people coming up. |
