Comments
Comments: Not much snow up high yet but there's some ice in places. I barebooted to Galehead Hut but thought about putting on the spikes earlier because there is some ice just below the hut. The angled ledge sections on GRT had some hard ice, I had to think about it a bit coming down it on dull spikes. It's probably a good idea to bring sharper spikes if doing this trail tomorrow. The water fall section wasn't too icy, water was running, plenty of dry (or wet yet ice free) rocks to use. A few ice spots on the climb up Garfield. Spikes came off a short ways down Garfield Trail.
