 | Comments: |
Cool, crisp start with sunny skies all day. The lower 19 mile Brook trail was a mix of dry trail / wet trail with some wet rocks and mud. Light dusting of snow started around 3100'in the woods and then some patches of ice, glazed rocks /roots and drainage logs above that up to the junction just before the hut. We put rock spikes on shortly after the junction of 19 Mile Trail and WRT heading up Wildcat A due to more substantial ice / ice flows on the steep sections. Some snow on trail as gained elevation, but minimal depth. Spikes stayed on across the ridge and the upper section of Polecat, and we were very happy to have them! Beautiful day to be out! |
