Comments
Comments: Up Edmands Path, put on spikes about a mile in when it got icy. About 2 miles in there was about 6" of fresh snow with one set of tracks ahead of us. The rock section when you first break treeline had minimal snow and no ice. Above treeline to the summit there were some snowdrifts. Between peaks it went from deep snowdrifts to rocky and boney. Down Crawford Path, the spikes kept balling up so took them off, the trail had snow but running water underneath with random ice spots. A lot of hikers were starting to head up Crawford so it should be in better shape now and a few were continuing to Eisenhower. A few sections you could use snowshoes but you'd be changing them on and off a lot, still a lot of rocky areas. One more good snowfall though and they will be needed.
