All rockhopable or the big crossing on Dicey's mill still has the big log you can walk across |

there are a couple of step overs on Rollins and Dicey's but easy to step over. It is obvious that alot of work has been done on Rollins and upper Dicey's to clean up the mess from last winter, THANK YOU very much to all involved. |

only saw one a very cute Golden Doodle that reminded me of the one I had, nice visit with the humans accompaning the dog. |

Trails were a mix of leaves, ~1" of snow and water until about 3,000' when the water became ice and there was a little more snow. I went bare boots until just before the steep rock climbs near whiteface summit when I put on my rock spikes and left them on until I crossed the log on Dicey's which was about a mile more than necessary. December hike conitions of snow, Ice and windy 14' at the summits, too bad it is still Nov. |
