Comments
Comments: A glorious Saturday to be the first up this popular trail. I bare booted the entire way up both peaks, taking my time with careful foot and pole placement. There wasn’t much ice on the steep part, just unconsolidated snow and rocks not yet packed out well. Some parts it’s better to use your hands if you have good gloves on. I put my dull microspikes on for the descent. There were quite a few people on trail hiking from both sides of the mountain, so it’s getting packed out better now. Views were interesting as I ascended into the cloud, almost above it, and then it blew away revealing the view… like magic.
