Comments
Comments: Well I needed a 4k a day and with the high winds and snowy roads, I opted a southern peak. When I got to the parking lot a fresh 2-3” with more snow falling was on the ground. Therefore rock spikes and snowshoes came. I barebooted to the flat part after the sosman junction. Wind was ripping and about 8”-2’ of snow with the drift height. I had added layers with a base layer change for the last bit. It was a quick tap of the summit and I kept my snowshoes on until 2950’ as it is ankle breaking holes with the fluffy snow. Swapped to my rock spikes until after the 2nd to last crossing where I took off traction into the parking lot. Saw 6 total people out which included a stellar mustache.
