Patchy snow starts in the shadows above the cellarhole. Somewhat consistent snow cover doesn't start until near the summit, but is still less than an inch. A few patches of black/blue ice with that, but Microspikes would be overkill for now. Biggest challenge was the slippery oak leaves, particularly on the Cabin Trail.
The colder than average November continues, with a mostly sunny afternoon/early evening with temperatures in the 30s. |
