Started from cog with bare boots. Stayed that way up to Gem Pool. There were a lot of seeps which were avoidable for the most part. Got to the Ammo parking lot trail junction and it said the reroute was .25 miles back! Stayed on old trail. Snowshoes came on at Gem Pool and were on for the rest of the day. Ammo trail meandered a bit above tree line but with the amount of snow on the trees the path others made worked. L of C hut is already buried up to roof in November! Path up to Monroe was a bit of the right route and a bit of meandering also. Crawford Path was….surprise, meandering also. The rime on the summit buildings was impressive! Came down next to Cog. Lots of skiers out enjoying the full on mid winter snow conditions in November. Fantastic views and reasonable temps/wind made for a great day! |
