Comments
Comments: We went up Hi-Cannon, there was one set of tracks from someone bare booting it this morning. We put on snowshoes at the junction and tried to pack it down the best we could, there was about 4" of fresh snow on the lower part of the trail and from the ladder to the summit about 6-8". From the summit we went down KRT where we dropped a car, the top had a lot of snow and was not packed down at all, when we got down to the viewpoint we switched to microspikes. Snowshoes are still needed for Hi-Cannon and there were a number of people coming up KRT but looked like they were having a harder time towards the top with the soft snow. I would def recommend snowshoes from the viewpoint to the summit unless you enjoy the struggle bus.
