Small amount of snow at the start, bare booting is fine. The snow gets deeper as you go up. It is at the depth where there is not quite enough snow to cover all the rocks, but more than enough for traction. I used snowshoes just short of the junction with the Kinsman Ridge Trail out and back to South then switched back to Hillsounds for the descent, taking them off on the road walk out. |
