Great hiking conditions for November. Put on spikes at the start of the hike and kept them on all day. I carried snowshoes but never used them. The final half mile, snowshoes would have been useful, but prior to that, there are too many exposed rocks. The trail is also packed out. Amazing visibility of Washington from the summit and the snow covered trees are beautiful. We were happy to run into Hiker Ed and Peter and chat about my grid progress! Thanks for the candy! |
