Comments
Comments: Not to be confused with Boulder Loop Trail on Mount Major, this is the trail by the Albany covered bridge, on the east end of the Kanc. I did the loop clockwise, as recommended in the AMC White Mountain Guide. The ascent was a long series of switchbacks. The descent was much more direct and steeper. I think I would prefer doing the loop counter-clockwise.

There was no snow or ice at the trailhead. Although there was one icy stretch on the way up, the top was also mostly free of ice. I did not put on spikes, but of course you should have them with you this time of year.

Awesome views of the Sandwich Range from the eastern cliffs. It was also fun wandering through the boulders at the bottom of the cliffs.
