Beautiful bluebird day. Mix of trail conditions. Down low: rocks, mud, ice, leaves…plenty of debris to gunk up your spikes but too much ice/snow to go without! Bring your rock spikes! As soon as you started to climb the snow was deep and well packed down. Beautiful trail conditions all the way to the top! Bring snowshoes if wanting to do the ridge to Flume or Lafayette. Both directions had what appeared to be deeper snow drifts. Met one other person up there in snowshoes headed toward Lafayette. Might be packed a little better since he made a pass. For our group it was microspikes start to finish! |
