The larger crossing shortly after the trailhead parking lot is not frozen over at all, but easy to step on rocks and not get feet wet. Higher up almost all water is bridged. |

Looks like 80-90% of people are taking the old trail, I didnt even realize I had passed the reroute on the way up until we got to the intersection of Ammo link.
Spikes to just below treeline and then put on snowshoes, although there would have been no issue without snowshoes today, I still like to use them for the televators. Above treeline the snow was quite crunchy. For now would recommenced not putting on snowshoes until a few hundred feet below treeline, a bit bony with rocks under the snow lower down. |
